(EDITED by ForumAdmin: as someone noted below, there's a 152-page edition of Frontline available for purchase in our online store as we speak. Check it out by clicking here. This edition is known as Frontline In Store and we send a few copies to retailers to use as an in-store guide. However, we're offering them online as well so get 'em while you can! --Brad)

I would like to see Fender bring back the full size Fender Frontline catalog. Not just the little miniature version thats available in the stores, or comes in the mail. I would even be willing to pay a reasonable price to get one. Is anyone with me on this?

I'm with you. I'd love to see it come back. I would rather get it free, lol. But I would still pay for one if it was big enough and had enough detail in it to support the cost.

Maybe if this thread get s long enough someone at Fender will take notice.

It's not a matter of Fender taking notice. They already know that all the guitar junkies in the whole USA loved the annual Frontline. They didn't stop printing it because they thought people didn't like it.

Do you guys have any idea how expensive that book would be to produce and print? I used to work as a creative director for ad agencies, overseeing projects like that, and I'm here to tell you that thing cost a pile. I'm guessing that with Web information quickly supplanting print, Frontline just wasn't showing a decent return on its cost.

As for saying "I'd pay for it:" would you pay 30 bucks for it? Or, better yet, would you subscribe for the next three years for $100 so Fender can predict their cost a little better? It's easy to say "sure, I would," but when it really came time to pay for it, I'll bet not enough people really would.

I do understand the cost and would be willing to pay that for a subcription.. I you dont want to do that that is your thing, but some of us really enjoy the frontline, and would love to get them like they use to be, sorry if that bothers you

It doesn't "bother me," flamekaster. And did I express some personal distaste for Frontline? No, I didn't. Try reading it again.

I'm simply explaining to you that Fender didn't print that book so Fender fans would have something to read in the bathroom. They put it out as a sales tool, and it's probably not cost effective anymore. Have you noticed that your software doesn't come with big, thick printed manuals anymore? Same thing.

I'm also sorry if that somehow bothers you, dude.

If the cost is that much of an issue printed catalogues should be all but extinct. As it is many companies with less money to spend than FMIC are offering extensive brochures. What am I missing here?

Of course I'd love to see a full-size Frontline.

No, I wouldn't pay $30 for it. Maybe $5 or $6, tops.

Would you pay $9.99 for the full size catalog? Because that's what Fender is selling it for over on the Merchandise site!

The catalogs always had that price on them though..... the first one I picked up was at my local guitar shop for free :) ...... I've drooled over the thing for years now lol..... I'm def. on board for seeing those nice full size catalogs again! I'd be willing to pay $10 for one though.... it'd be well worth the money :P
