I chose Sheryl Crow - could be an interesting conversation.

I have had a beer with Buddy Guy before (although he was drinking something else; I was drinking beer), backstage at Antone's in 1991.

Since I'm no longer an imbiber of alcoholic beverages (13 years running) and I wouldn't want to ruin that record...or Clapton's long stretch of sobriety or Slash's short/recently found sobriety, I would not choose either of them.

I would like to have a cuppa tea with Clapton, though.

Avril would be fun (cuz she looks like Nicole Kidman's cute but punky little sister). She'd probably get on my nerves pretty quickly, though, if she is anything like her stage persona.

Sheryl Crow would be intriguing because of her multi-instrument abilities as well as her beauty. I like her music a lot...and I don't apologize to those who say she's not edgy enough. The woman rocks.

It would still have to be Clapton, though.

I read Clapton's autobiography a while back - that alone made me pick him. I'm amazed he found the strength to get himself together and I'd really like to talk to someone who could get themselves in those situations and out again.

I think a drink and a chat with Courtney Love would be interesting. Glad to see she gets a mention. ( New Radicals )

Avril, and I would ask her the logic behind complaining about the cold and wearing a parka with shorts.

NCreep...just another example of why you picked the appropriate handle! Why don't you try having a glass that is half full instead of half empty? What a Douchbag :!:

I would love to have a sit down with Eric Clapton...I could drink beer and he could have a drink of tea (or anything he choses and I am buying). There has always been some questions I would love to ask him.

Out of them all I would pick Mark Knopfler. He just seems like a great bloke, the kind of guy you would expect to be laid back and just enjoyable company.

Is also really like to have a few with Dave Grohl. I reckon he would be really fun.

if i am drinking and having a beer and I am so lucky to choose....

i would say avril lavigne, for obvious reasons, followed by sheryl crowe...hopefully a good converstion leads to something else, and cortney love...what's not to love?

oh... it seems i misunderstood the title of the thread..i thought it said "with whom you would have a beer with, some conversation, and the old in and out". ooopps.

my answer to this thread...would be buddy guy.

god i feel stupid.

I chose Buddy Guy. He strikes me as a down to earth person who is unpretentious and his years give him a wisdom which could only be attained through same; certainly a person one could learn a few of life's lessons from.
