hi guys , it's been ages since i last posted , up to my ears with work and a new band but i do drop in now and then to see whats happeing (not as much as i'd like though ) so i thought i'd drop in and make a post :D i got a strat dropped off to me this morning by my bro in law , it's a mij 52 reissue made in 85 ( i was with him when he bought it new ) it came through my door in bits , he was going to refinish it (it's been this way for at least 10 years) so he had been sanding on the back and around the trem on the front , so this avo i sanded off the remaining poly on the back and the front flat part , the rest i'm just going to paint over to black as it was so the primer is on , i'll get it sanded tomorrow night after work , i'll try and get a few pics up as well guys , cheers
Alan

Do you mean a '54 reissue? (figuring it must be a strat if it has a trem). If I am wrong, It won't be the first time I have applied false logic. Please excuse me. :)

Also, good to hear from you, pal.

thanks for the welcome back dudes as hendrix said once it has been a long time hasn;t it :)the wifes bro was on the phone the other night for nearly an hour and my nephew was mentioned , (he has been told to just turn up for lessons ) he wants a gibson :) he's 14 so i offered him a swap for his old 50's r/i that has been neglegted for years (i . offered years ago ) but they turned up this morning and i swapped a mint condish epi dot deluxe for this pile of bits (sorry snowy ,i got a got a good deal for the epi ) i played this strat a few decades ago , it was immence , after taking the neck off it turns out it's made on the day before my birthday in 1985 , it's a E series guitar but a 50's reissue ,
i just done the primer paint on it this avo , should turn out sweet :)

Welcome Back! I was away for a while myself. How about Celtic Cyclonus... I hope that cat is doing well too. Haven't seen him around and always enjoyed his posts.
