I used to write, produce and direct radio theater, thanks to a huge admiration of The Firesign Theater, and even had the honor of spending an hour on the phone with David Ossman, talking about my group (Renaissance Radio), his work with Otherworld Media and the fact that he had the original art from my favorite Fireisgn album cover (and perhaps fave album, too) In The Next World, You're On Your Own hanging in his home office.

If you grokked them like I did, drop a quote or favorite Firesign memory. C'mon, squeeze the wheeze... I think were all Bozos on this bus.

From an ocean away I have no idea what this is all about. But I'm mighty curious: is there an online archive or some such a guy could investigate, please?

Cheers - C

Ceri, you have just the type of refined mind that would dig the Firesign beyond their jokey surface. The albums actually create an alternative universe that satirizes our own.

HER: "Honey...uh, where's the dead cat?"
HIM: "Uhhh... It's in the soap dish."
HER: (lightly, playful) "But there's soap in the soap dish!"
HIM: (coming unhinged) "That's right, dear... There's a whole dead cat in every bar of Dead Cat Soap!"
