Sad :? :? :?

Why is that sad?

Sorry not trying to offend anyone but I think that is sad because can someone not have their OWN identity, rather than a brand name, regardless of how cool that brandname is. Perhaps they are lacking confidence in their own identity

paulie how did you know, i have no confidence in my self, i am a horrible human being, and not worthy to even own a fender guitar, i am so sad and pathetic, i think i will got lay in bed in an embryo shape and turn on some radio head........geez give me a break

Yeah, that's it. We're all lacking self esteem. Thanks for pointing that out. I'll get myself into therapy asap.

That's funny, I have a very low self esteem, and I don't have any Tatoos at all. You see, I don't have the Confidence to trust my judgement on something so permanent. My ex-Girlfriend had the F-Word on her Scalp, for when she shaved her head. Now she had confidence galore!

I was in my early 40's when I covered my forearm with a stratocaster. I did it with confidence because I knew from a lifetime of guitar playing that I'd never regret a tattoo that so correctly states who I am. I know at this point in my life that that won't change. I am a musician. I am a Fender musician. I'm very confident in both those truths.

OUCH! I'm not quite that brand loyal, though I proudly display my Fender license plate on the front of my Cherokee. I guess it beats having an EX girlfriend's name on your body, though I bet it's a great conversation starter! 8)

Oh man, I'd never put a girls name on me. Or tribals, wizards, dragons, etc...

I only get a tatt if it relates to me at my core. Something that won't change no matter how old I am. That's one reason I waited till my 40's to get a couple of tatts. I had a lot of pressure to get one when I was younger. Especially in my Navy years. All that drinkin and guys getting tatts. It was hard to say no, but I did. 22 years old is too young to make such a permanant decision.

I may get Tat out in the future, I haven't ruled them out. And nobody said anything about an Ex girlfriends name, I said I used to go out with a punker chick who has obsenities on her head, if that's what he's refering to.

Oh no, not you. Tele1987 mentioned the cliche ex-girlfriend tatt.

Oh, I looked through the thread for an ex girlfriend reference, must have missed that one. Sorry

Don't worry man, you didn't offend anyone. Why would anyone care what you think anyway? Or maybe that's just me because I have confidence in my own identity...logo tattoos or not! Leave these gentlemen alone. Fender is part of their identity, so what if it's tatooed on their body? I think they are way cooler than you are. Sorry if you are offended by that!

I wouldn't consider a tattoo a part of a persons identity. It'll be a great conversation started aswell, other guitarists will see your tat and realise you're a musician, it's always nice to chat to someone with a common ground.

I'd probably just get a Fender t-shirt myself though  :P

I am only 28, but i have played fender guitars from almost day 1 i have 6 fenders, and they are part of my musice idenity. My wife thinks it is hot, and that i like. I wanted one on my shoulder first or i would of got the cross and crown of thorns on my back like i want at some point. THat is what i am most loyal too, then my wife and kids, then fender guitars, but i wont put peoples names on me.
