I had an hour long discussion with Marc Ford from the Black Crowes (and his other various projects). That was really cool. He told me sooo much cool stuff. He also used my amp for some shows. That was like... a month ago. He was playing with Jake Hamilton.

I don't know about this forum, but then again, you never know. There's probably a lot of stars on here with aliases (for obvious reasons).

On a separate note - About 10 years ago, I chatted with a guitarist (PM'd) on another guitar forum, and started asking him questions. He asked me point blank, if I could trust him. I replied that I am retired military and held a secret security clearance.

The guitarist: Barry Goudreau (ex-Boston, now with Ernie & The Automatics (with Sib Hashian on drums, also ex-Boston) ). And yes... Barry Goudreau gave me his private email address and told me to keep in touch. How cool is that? 8)

NO I WON'T GIVE OUT HIS EMAIL OR ANY OTHER DETAILS ABOUT HIM!

The very best thing to do with most well known musicians is to not go "ape Shiiet" if you do meet them or talk to them,if they're open to conversation lots of time they had rather talk about something else other that what they do for a living...just like we don't want to talk about work after we go home.
I always thought Ronnie VanZant's line in that song..."don't you think that when I come home,I just want a little piece of mind?" fit the situation.

A bit off topic but I missed a golden opportunity to meet steve Harris from Iron Maiden... some of you may or may not know how in to those guys i am so I deeply regret that. I was building protools rental rigs for the Toy Specialists in NYC and went for a slice of pizza. On my way back i passed him on the street, he was wheeling a suitcase. We sort of stared at each other a bit as we passed. Me, trying to figure out if it was him because why would he be wheeling a suitcase on foot and not taking a cab at the very least and also half thinking, that guy looks an awful lot like Steve Harris, someone should tell him the 80s are over. Him looking at me with that "what the eff are you looking at bloke" kind of look. When i got back to work, i mentioned this to the guy at the front desk. He said, "yeah he was just here picking up his bag. Maybe if you looked up from the soldering desk, you'd have noticed him walking past you on a regular basis" Apparently he was checking the Rock in Rio mixes they were doing up the street at Hit Factory so not to hold up the session or something.

I have private messaged Paul McCartney on here before. I now have his personal email address.

jk

I believe celebrities do roam these boards sometimes, but whether or not they have an account is something we will never know.
For all you know I could be Paul Stanley....

If John Mayer was in fact a forum member it wouldn't be for very long with the abuse his name takes on these forums. All you have to do to get 300 replies is make a topic that says "I love John Mayer" and leave the rest blank and you have a week long posting war going on.

Jim Campilongo? Could have just been someone else, pretending to be him, but no alias. This member joined during a discussion of Jim Campilongo and the Princeton Reverb amps that he plays. No activity in almost a year. :?:

Ok. I admit. I am none other than Pete Townsend. I can't believe I've hidden it this long.

Oh man, this is just so cool! I've been into The Who since the beginning. Pete, mate, I have a million questions I want to ask you. Starting with: when are you finally going to learn to spell your own surname?

Cheers - C

I don't know how to put this, but I'm kind of a big deal. People know me. Um, I'm very important. I have many leather-bound books, and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.
