I'm a child of the 80s, and the first rock album I ever owned was the Police's 'Synchronicity.' So I'm a little more partial to chorus

Ah, yes indeed: Andy did so much to bring chorus sounds to the world in the '80s, for better or worse. I've been playing Message in a Bottle since it came out, first as a drummer and then as a guitarist. I believe it is actually illegal to play add9 chords without a chorus pedal.

Bring on the Night is another simple but childishly pleasing Sting/Summers guitar part to knock out. Oddly, to my ears that one can be fun with either chorus or phasing, or just a good ol' flanger. (I have no idea what Andy's signal path might have been on the original track.)

...Where have I put that bottle of hair bleach?

Cheers - C

Hah! Gotta love 80s fashion! Maybe I'll break out the skinny tie today...

In addition to chorus, I believe Andy did make pretty extensive use of flangers, specifically the EHX Electric Mistress pedal.

"Bring on the night, I couldn't stand another hour of daylight.." Great track - played it many times. Never felt the need to bleach my hair though..

The T Rex Twister is an awesome multi modulation pedal - but I seem to recall that its Flanger/Chorus rather than Phaser/Chorus..
