They are all guilty of looking like idiots on more or many an occasion. l

or this guy (he actually makes me scratch my head in wonder. Is this possibly a result of hitting the party button in the booth to light up the whole column?

Bush made an $@! of himself many a time too. I wanted to call the white house and offer a free lesson on how to pronounce "Nuclear".

What makes this country great is our freedom to make fun of our appointed idiots.

Here We Go Again, Thread starts out with an Elvis angle, and turns right into a political slam.

Edit: I don't think any of them are stupid, I think they are all dishonest.

Like Forest Gump Said "Stupid is, is Stupid does". at that level for my vote you don't make Stupid Mistakes. The mistake is nothing. The real thing is that She didn'tcheck her facts before She spoke. Very foolish thing to do.

Hey, they're all human! All put their underwear on one leg at a time too.

When you have dozen's of cameras and mics shoved in your face and everyone wanting that 30 second sound bite for the evening news, you're bound to be caught saying something dumb.

It's a job I wouldn't want for all the money in the world!

She already did that when she made reference to "our forefathers fought the revolutionary war to free the slaves"
That did it for me right there. All politicians should remember to "engage brain...before mouth"

Am in total agreement with Danny Duke original post.

I'm not a supporter of her, but you have misquoted her. She was referring to John Quincy Adams (who did oppose slavery) being part of and witness to an era. She was not very clear however. She may have merged some of his father's (John Adams) history and his together in her mind by mistake. I'm not sure.
What do you think the Three-fifths compromise was all about? That was our forefathers making sure that slave owners did not get to much control in the house. This was a set up to end slavery eventually. When people talk about our forefathers fighting to end slavery this is the kind of thing that they are referring to. Not fighting the British.

I think a huge problem with the political climate these days is the damn media on BOTH sides. lastnight the news BOMBARDED me with this Elvis thing... c'mon Really? I prefer to watch senate Hearings on CSPAN so you can see where the reps stand right from the horses mouth and not just sound bites along with commentary and spin from the Rachel Maddow's and Glen Beck's. I've seen the media totally falsely report the point that was Actually made on the floor of the senate. Couple that with all the Bloggers and what not and, its just a ridiculous mess. Another thing that bothers me is the question dodging... BOTH parties do it. I really like Ron Paul. He seems straight up, doesn't dodge the questions, and doesn't seem to put the party ahead of what is best for the country. We could really do without the militant left and the militant right.

Great post. I also remember Joe Biden ramming a section of the Articles of Confederation down Palin's throat but had his articles backwards. I believe he rammed article 2 down her throat but the point he was making was actually in Article 1.

Disclaimer: I am NOT a Sarah Palin fan.
