I have an absolute Bowl of Spaghetti on the floor of My Music Room. I clean things up and rearrange everything and before the day is over its returned to the spaghetti thing again. Any ideas on how to overcome this problem, or is this also part of the fun? Guitar stands, music stands, Mikes, Amps, stomp boxes, and cables. What an opportunity for wireless technology. 8) Maybe that's not so funny :)

I'm really pretty neat, I won a bunch of Planet Waves guitar cords in a contest on the old 'Guitar.com' site contest. They have a built-in cord wrap thingie, I most times have them wrapped up. All my USB & RCA cords are wrapped, and on hangers as well.

I'm somewhere between you two guys - - not a real mess, but not
really neat either, but it changes all the time.

I know the feeling Danny...My little music room is an organized zoo. Chords draped over the music stands awaiting the next guitar I pull off the wall to plug in. I trip over empty guitar stands. I have a bookshelf full of tools and misc. parts along with old Stewmac catalogs, Fender calenders, notebooks full of tabs and leadsheets and old PG magazines. I know where everything is but I wouldn't want anyone else try to find something. the laptop sits on a table plugged into the old stereo and recording equipment. I can only go around one way or high jump over the chord... I have amps lining one wall and guitars hanging from 3. Definitly not a recording environment buts its my room and no one enters unless invited...

Thanks for the tip Tony. I'll look into that deal. :) :)

My music area is never spotless or perfectly organized, but one thing I can't stand is a ton of cables running everywhere on the floor. For instance in my bedroom, which is the main place I play, I have my amp up against the wall near the head of my bed, my o/d pedal right at my feet where I like to sit. I like to plug everything in and then I take the rest of what's left of the cable and wrap it up and then put a couple twist ties to hold it and then I have a large nail sticking out of the wall that I hang the coiled cables on. Granted I do also have several mics on mic stands with the cables with them, and they tend to get in the way a bit, but that's just because my wife won't give in on me overtaking the whole bedroom with equipment  (she already gets locked out of here when I'm recording).
