Odd how none of us were there. But were all The Woodstock Generation 8) And Its Equally funny that I lived, Worked, partied and played music within 5 miles of our Mr. Hendrix's House and Neighborhood and never once saw or heard about him until he became Famous. :( :) But it seams that every other kid in Seattle at the time claimed to know him.   I guess its only human nature to want to be associated with something or someone famous. :) When were talking about Woodstock fue folks ever speak of the Immortal Janis Joplin I wonder why, Everyone loved her.(WHAT A ROCK STAR SHE WAS) :)

Some estimates were somewhere between 350,000-500,000.

Rebelsoul, It's the march of the Geezers. The Fillmore East and West!

And guys Google "The Woodstock Bootlegs". It's interesting stuff and many performances were doctored up. Creedence Clearwater Revival was incredible. They have many performances that never made the album or movie.

Just noticed how similar those posters are!...just read that Alex Cooley promoted both concerts.....I was dating a girl from GA,and we later got married,I had not made plans to go to the concert but went for awhile,it's amazing how much you forget after 40 years, through the haze.

I tried to go but got turned away at the border, they said the roads going into Bethel had all been closed. A few years later I ended up at a larger festival that featured The Dead, Allmans and the Band at Watkins Glen.
