Hey guys.

I've always been interested in building my own guitar (my first would probably be a strat from spare parts) but I know next to nothing about wiring pickups and the like. I'd like to do a strat with single-coil neck and mid pups with a Fender wide-range humbucker for the bridge, so it seems like I will definitely be wiring my own pickguard.

Does anyone have any good resources that someone like me could use to learn? Any help is appreciated.
