Bob Dylan is up there right behind Lennon and McCartney in my best song writers box. Remarkable , from the coffee circuit to having his own XM show. Gotta dig his coolness. I always liked Rainy Day Women #5, I think that's the one... I would not feel so all alone, Everybody must get stoned.

Bob Dylan is one of my favorites.

I'm going to go against the grain (once more unto the breach) -

Tangled Up In Blue

and

Simple Twist Of Fate

both from Blood On The Tracks.

are my most played Dylan songs and my favorites.

And of course -

Girl From The North Country (With Johnny Cash) from Nashville Skyline.

Gil, who can't choose just one 8)

He really didn't write "Someday Baby". There is extensive borrowing in that tune from what I heard on the radio.

"All Along The Watchtower" is a close second because of the fantastic Hendrix treatment. What a monster the Hendrix recording is; shows the genius of that man.

I voted Subterranean Homesick Blues but All Along the Watchtower is another legendary song.

To pick from the list I gotta go with Subteranean Homesick Blues, because of it's raunchiness.

But my favorites from his fairly new stuff is, Thunder on the Mountain and Rollin' and Tumblin'.

I think I'm gonna go out and buy a bunch of poster boards and write the lyrics on them, then I'm gonna go stand by the road with this song blaring and flip the posters over as people go by, hehe. Should be alot of fun. I think I'll get my grandpa to stand in the background waving his arms around like an idiot. LOL
