I'm heavily relic'd from 15 rounds with lymphoma and lengthy chemo. Pardon the typos and repetition when the seams show. I live a servant life like Clapton's talked about working for my three kids, wife, church and community. In serving others, we find fulfillment.

I buy and sell jet engines and jet engine parts. Got into the business when I was 19 which was a loooong time ago . . . but not as long as I've been playing guitar.

from past to present:
-Beach bum/surfer/student (the good old days)
-TV/film set dresser (long days/nights)
-TV/film on-set audio (longer days/nights)
-Audio Engineer (glorified baby-sitting)
-Went back to college fo MA in Education
-ESL teacher (not enough $ to support the family)
-Claims adjuster ($ to support family and buy guitar stuff)

I've accepted the fact that work is work and it is a necessary evil. I put on my work face 8 hours a day and it no way defines who I am. In fact, dealing with people from all walks of life has given me new views on the world. You gotta take what you have and have as much fun as you can.

I used to be an on-air personality and eventually moved up to Program/Production Director in FM radio for about 8 years...

Then that ended and I worked in Real Estate for a year. That induced psychosis, so I got out of that...

Now I am going to school studying Electronics. When I am done I hope to either start my own effects and/or amp business, but most likely I will try to get some decent paying job to pay for what I really enjoy doing.

Don't know where they got the 'amateur' designation in the corner over there. I've indicated 'semi-pro' on my profile.....retired...that is!!

Practicing dentist and dental educator. M.S.Ed, D.D.S. Former science specialist in middle school education. Playing guitar nearly 50 years now. Played semi-professionally through high school and college, including 18 months with a trio featured act in NYC's famous 'Cafe WHA?'

Vocal group activities in H.S. lead to record deal and release in summer of '60 on Uniited Artists label. Not much play on that one so we won't talk about it. Did two more as what today is called 'indie'. Had "You Belong To Me" on tape and in the can, but "The Duprees' beat us to it.

'58 Stratocaster and Concert amp acquired from my friend and bandmate, was my gear. First serious electric guitar was a '58 Danelectro shorthorn double cutaway, double pickup, through a Danelectro Centurion amp. Before that, a Harmony acoustic which I powered with DeArmond pickups. We had something we called "The Little Amp". It was an old table model radio which had been wired with phone jacks. I tell you man, it's the kind of thing Link Wray would have recorded "Rawhide' with and you would have never known.

Today I play a CS Stratocaster I call my heroes guitar. It's a Clapton platform, finished like an SRV with vintage gold hard ware, black plastic parts and SCN pickups. It's my nod to Eric, Stevie, the Buddy's, Rory, Ike, and anyone else of note who played a sunburst Strat. I also have a drop dead gorgous Gibson LP Custom Shop Heritage in tobacco burst quilted maple top; and a PRS Johnny Hiland with a tortoise-shell ten top. These all go thru a Line Six AX2 amplifier. My Fender Concert amp, '93 Tele-Plus, '97 American Standard Gilmour powered Strat, '93 Clapton, and Buddy Guy Polka Dot have gone to complete what I have now.

Dreaming of being a rock star???? You have to pay your dues. Live for the music, make it your life, and if lightning strikes, you're a lucky dude.

You're reading a guy who first saw the inside of a recording studio years before Eric Clapton knew what a guitar neck felt like, and many of 'em hadn't been born yet. In my day, Chuck Berry was the man, and I consider HIM "The King of Rock 'n Roll.'' Les Paul??? Without him, we'd be nowhere.

I've bent strings with world-class superstars when they didn't have two nickels to rub together. Other than fame....the music will keep you young, creative, eager to learn the new, and part of a great community of artists and players like all of you out there.

About zzdoc?? It's a handle a patient of my slapped on me years ago, when he learned I was a bluesman. You GOTTA know where that was lifted from!!

PEACE....and rock on!!

Shot in the dark but.. ZZ Top? :) heh heh.

My current job is night porter in a hotel (crappy job but hey, means I get to surf the web), but I'm currently looking for an electrical firm to join through an apprenticeship. Definately wouldn't say no to earning more than minimum wage, makes it awfully hard to save up for that Deluxe Strat I've been dreaming about

Right now I'm painting with my brother which is great cause he works for a few hours takes a few off then goes back for 4 hours in the afternoon - We live at the botttom end of Jersey so everything is relatively close (unless you want to go up to Atlantic City) anyway I am starting up my own Web Design business and I'm working on my own site. Eventually I would like to get into music publishing registered w/ ASCAP- did the alternative thing for a bit but it didn't pay the bills. Anymore info can be found at www.myspace.com/iwillirockit

Went to college to become a television producer...but now I am a pastry chef!?!? I've been back to school a few times; and I plan on returning again. Who knows what the future holds for me (or any of us!)?
