GUYS GUYS GUYS i just got back from my local store in happiness cuz of a amp that i tried! its a Blackstar MT Club 40 and its a BEAST amp. i turned it on with a little reverb and finally got Buddy Holly's tone! i played Not Fade Away and it sounds really great. Should i buy it? its $1299 amlost $1300 so i might save up and buy this amp and gig with it. Plus its TUBE!

Maybe you could buy his Buddy Holly Strat?

His was rosewood. plus i could watch the buddy holly story anyway.

i hate rosewood but i just sometimes think its darker maple. i want a maple fretboard so bad so i can glue it on my guitar's neck and get the frets leveled and stuff

If you really love the authentic Buddy Holly vibe, try out the Fender Deluxe Reverb Reissue, that just drips with 50s and 60s coolness for tone.

idk but its british and its tube but buddy used a Pro amp for studio and sometimes live or a tweed deluxe but the settings for the blackstar really make it easy to get everyone's tone

Blackstar's stuff is phenomenal. Also what you said about changing your fretboard won't work.

I was going to say something similar to what Guitslinger said, but he already said it. So I can add that I just purchased a Reissue '65' Deluxe Reverb Amp and its absolutely Sick with 50's/60's COOLNESS, I LOVE IT :!: 8) 8) :D
I haven't got My Stomp Boxes in the correct order yet. Is there really a correct order? or is that just part of the $1,000 worth of fun. :D

There are indeed suggested orders in which you'd like to colour your signal as it travels. Half the fun of owning effects is experimenting, though. Nothing is more satisfying than dialing in new sounds that you like.

He used a Pro amp and a Tweed for studio i think. my buddy of mine owns a '67 Dual Showman Reverb and i steal it sometimes for Setzer's tone u know Brian Setzer of the stray cats? hes actually the son of Eddie Cochran by the DNA listen to this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V9kgECL2 ... re=related
