So, in all my years of playing, and a closet full of pedals, i finally find the need for a noise gate/surpressor. I know this question will probably give me 12 different answers; but what's a good one? I see the decimators seem to have good things said about them, anyone use one? How are the MXR's? I dont think ive used an MXR pedal that I didnt like, some even better than boutique ones that were twice the price, and hate to say, better than some I hand wired myself.
I dont play super high gain, so I dont need anything severe. The only noise surpression unit ive used was part of an old Rocktron online rack system, that I used for pitch shift and delay, but i remember their HUSH was pretty inovative, at the time, but that was years ago.
I play mostly a Strat and ES345 as my main guitars, and a PRS w/PAFs, so i dont use high outputs. I'm not using high watt class A/B anymore, mostly some modded Egnaters, and a Princeton reverb.
