We're into our 12th day straight without the sun except for a scant 15 minutes yesterday.I honestly can't remember the last day that it didn't rain at least a bit,it must've been over a month ago.

We're off to another gray start, too. Thunderstorms are expected throughout the day.

Tennessee Valley has had a weird summer, so far. It's been hot, though not the blast furnace heat like last year, but also had quite a few rainy spells, with some wicked storms. Had one right here, back in June, that knocked out my power for three days. :( No electric guitar music during that spell. Right now we're enjoying a cooler spell, but the hot will return before long.

Long as those blamed storms steer clear of here . . .

I was just listening to the supper newscast and they had on a meteoroligist who said that in the past 70 days we've only had 10 with no rain and 5 of them were in one stretch from July2-6.How's that for depressing weather?

We have entered the height of hurricane season here. Tropical waves continue to push out of west Africa toward the Caribbean. Three are being monitoring right now. I'm stocking up on water and batteries again.

We had a nice sunny beginning to the day but storm clouds are already building over the Everglades and they're headed my way.
