I took my wife to see Kid Rock this last Friday in Phoenix. I am not his biggest fan, but he earned my respect. It is really amazing how he has fused so many (seemingly) disparate music genres together ... hard rock, southern rock, country, hip hop. It was a really good show. Sheryl Crow opened and she was very good, too.

I know a lot of people here are likely not into him, but my hat goes off to any one with such an expansive musical vision in a day when most artists are so linear and predictable.

I'll admit that he's a guilty pleasure for me, too.

Whether you like his persona/antics or not, the dude can sing, play several instruments well, he can rap and produce. He's a good songwriter when he's not sampling other people's music. He's got talent.

We saw 'Bob' (Kid Rock) last summer and thought he was quite the
entertainer. It showed that he put a lot of work into his
show's production and he got a lot of appreciation from the
fans that night too.

I'm a Kid Rock fan. I think Rock and Roll Jesus was the peak of his career, and all except for one song, I love that album. Devil Without a Cause was great too.

you're not alone,

I tried my best to hate him but he grew on me. I don't have any of his albums but i totally agree, he did fuse a lot of genre's successfully together. I like Sheryl Crow too.

I saw him in '06 at Rockfest in Cadot, we almost left before he came on but decided at the last minute to give it a shot. It was a great show, it was obvious that he spends considerable time putting the show together, he plays multiple instruments VERY well, and was just fun.

Been a fan since than, and I'm a KISS fan so people are too busy giving me sh*t about that fact to worry about whether I like Kid Rock or not. :)
