Okay so after installing the new 'bucker in my strat, it gave me a new idea...

I want to install an S1 switch on my strat, in order to split the humbucker (much like you would a deluxe model), just so i can get that singlecoil bridge sound out of my strat as well.

The only thing is that Seymour Duncan's wiring diagrams do not have one for Fender's S1 switches. They have diagrams for Push/pull volume pots, and I'm guessing that fender's S1 volume pot is just a glorified version of a p/p volume pot... just like how a tube is a glorified light bulb. (if any of you want to school me here please go easy one me...)

I been checking out fender's diagrams for Am. Deluxe Stratocasters, but with a SD JB in my bridge position I had to wire it a little differently than what the original Fender humbucker was wired. (which was a pretty simple mod.)

Does anyone know where I can find a wiring diagram for such a project like this?

Other than that, I think I'll be good with modding my strat. I might change the tone caps to orange caps for "poops and giggles", but I don't find that I need to do anything else with this guitar. I love that I can make this guitar my guitar, its like having my own artist series... 8)

Hi Smokey,

I'll sort you out with a diagram when I get back from work this evening. :D

FYI, The S-1 switch is a 4 pole single throw latching push switch. Consider yourself schooled! :D

Enjoy!

Thanks Andy :D Once I get settle into college nicely this will be my next project.

haha and I guess I need to work on my ignorance a little... I'll stop looking at pots as just variable resistors (or as I said earlier, tubes as glorified light bulbs)
