Joe's been a strat guy for a long time, I wonder how well a Joe Walsh sig strat would do?
That would be a great Idea, specially if it was modeled after the one he uses on the Strat Pack, The Black one with the Rosewood Neck and maple skunk stripe. I'd like a different color than black, though.

Esoteric Joe Walsh question: at the Crossroads before last, he was playing an interesting custom ax when backing up James Taylor on a blues tune. It had a single bridge pickup with a smooth chrome cover. Anybody know what that was?

I'm not possitive, but I think it's made of Mighty Might parts. It definitly has a Seymour Duncan mini Humbucker. I paused and Zoomed on it several times.

His '73 album, "The Smoker You Drink, The Player You Get" was very creative. 8)

The guy has been through a lot and can still bring it.

I can even forgive him for the appearance with....Celine Dion

Ah, Mitey Mite! I had one of them on a Cort jazz box but in a standard humbucker w/screws layout. Very hot and gutsy P/U. But yeah, this JW one was just the size of a mini-humbucker and all smooth chrome, no screws, exactly. Sounded amazing, but what doesn't played by Joe?

I've always wanted to make a Mitey Mite (not to be confused with Mighty Dog  ) . It wouild be either Canary Yellow or Seafoam, and I'd set it up with one single coil in the Bridge position.

When I saw the Eagles at the Staple Center a couple years ago, Joe played Strats, Les Puals, Carvins, a Showmaster, a Les pual, a couple PRS's. Not to mention two different 6 String Acoustics and a 12 string acoustic. His guitar tech must be a busy guy.

Saw the Eagles latest "farewell tour" in Melbourne, Australia on the tube last year. WOW! Always been an Eagles fan since High School. I love Joe's slide playing, inspired me to try it, and I'm getting better at it, though I'm nowhere near as good! The guys have gotten tighter and better over the years!

Love "Rocky Mountain Way", "Life's Been Good", "Walk Away".

All Joe Walsh tunes that he recorded sans Eagles.

If you listen to the new Eagles album (the one you can only get at Wal Mart) the ONLY songs that stand out are the Joe Walsh ones. Listening to it made me depressed until Joe's songs came on, and then I had to smile.

The thing that always surprises me about Joe is that it acts like a total flake, but writes some of the most insightful songs. "There goes the neighborhood" has some of his best songwriting in my opinion.

Oh yeah, without a doubt Joe Walsh saved the Eagles. That soul searching southern California soft rock stuff was dying out fast when he joined the band. They needed a jolt of rock. Heck, even Jackson Browne tried to become a rocker when the soft cali stuff was wearing thin. Don may be the voice of the Eagles, but their soul became Joe as soon as he joined the band.

Joe Walsh is an awesome player whether its a Strat in his hands or a Tele. I saw him on TV the other night playing with Celine Dion. Strange pairing if you ask me, but Joe was great.

That's like Jeff Beck solo backing that plastic singer at the Grammys, who was that anyways?

I too was flipping around channels, and saw Jow walking across a stage, so I stopped. Then I saw Celine Dion, and thought "must be he's going to bludgeon her with the guitar", so I watched a little longer. When I realized that wasn't true, I changed the channel.

I'd pay to see that. It would make one hell of a PPV event.

I've seen the Eagles live. Sure, they were overplayed in the 1970s but only because they are very, very good. Joe Walsh is a great guitar player, and he should have a signature Strat.

Joe Walsh is an outstanding musician. I've seen him live on two different occasions.

If it wasn't for Walsh? The Eagles would have ended up as a country and western band.
