Or given that he posted a third picture of yet another obviously different guitar on another thread, also claiming it was Buddy Holly's and in his possession - it could all be intended as an amusing in-joke.

But if so then I think on a public internet forum a joke needs a slightly more obvious punchline. (See, we're all giving you alternate outs, FenderGuy1. Take one, would be friendly advice.)

Anyway. So happens I am the owner of Jimi Hendrix's genuine, actual Strat, the one he burned at Monterey. I was sold it by his daughter. Or mother. Or someone. Anyone want to buy it for a million dollars? Here it is - a picture I've just taken myself in my White Room:
