Want to get rid of those fingerprints on your Strat? Want to put a nice shine on it with little work? Check out a Microfiber cloth.
I picked one up at a local 99 cent store and had been using it on my glasses. I decided to try it on one of my guitars. WOW!!! Worked so well I went back and picked up a few more.

They're great for glasses and guitars. Also, any other optics -- rifle scopes, telescopes, binoculars, camera lenses, etc.

+2...I used to use flannel rags to polish up my guitars, but they leave a little lint behind, don't have that problem with microfiber.

I first used them on the windshields of my vehicles and saw how well they did there and use them on all optics and the guitars too. They seem to hold onto some of the dirt though even after washing. Anyone else notice that? I only have a couple of them and my yellow one seems to be stained.

When they reach that moment it's time to discard them and replace. The trapped particles within the mesh will scratch a surface if the cloth is vigorously used.

They're cheap enough so it's no major expenditure.

Started using them when I got my Strat two years ago. Have one in every guitar case now :-)

I use a Dean Markley branded one.

Can probably get cheaper, but mine has lasted me nearly 10 years now and hasn't been washed. The trick is to get the crap/polish/whatever off first with an oridnary duster or rag, then use the Microfibre for the final dry polish only.

And yes, really good on glasses too 8)
