Yesterday 2 great old CDs arrived in the mail: I Wonder by The Gants and the fabulous Who Sell Out Album. The Gants CD has 30 cuts on it including of course their brilliant hit song "I Wonder".Just about every song on the Who's Sell Out Album is a classic hit such as "I Can See For Miles" and the whole CD is laid out like a radio program complete with commercials written mostly by Entwhistle and Moon.Sell Out and Magic Bus are my absolute favourite Who albums.

I Can See For Miles is indeed a classic, from an adventurous album that revealed Townsend (in particular) to be pushing hard at the boundaries of pop music. As the pre-cursor to Tommy, the clues are all there.

I've been using Odourono for years..

I see that you also have the infamous Blind Faith cover with Ginger Baker's prepubescent daughter-that cover raised some eyebrows and considerable controversy when it first came out.I have a coffee table book that I bought back in the late 70s called The Album Cover Album and it contains hundreds of high quality pix of albums over the years.I don't know if it's still in print but it's a treasure trove of album cover art.Sadly CDs have killed the album cover art market.

You also have the cover of cheap thrills on that wall, that is a great wall.

The Satanic Majesty is the one with the wiggly cover; I've had that since new.

Their Satanic Majesties Request is the sixth British and eighth American studio album by The Rolling Stones, released on 8 December 1967 by Decca Records in the United Kingdom and the following day in the United States by London Records. Its title is a play on the "Her Britannic Majesty requests and requires..." text that appears inside a British passport.

Richie Unterberger of Allmusic wrote:[1]

Without a doubt, no Rolling Stones album — and, indeed, very few rock albums from any era — split critical opinion as much as the Rolling Stones' psychedelic outing. Many dismiss the record as sub-Sgt. Pepper posturing; others confess, if only in private, to a fascination with the album's inventive arrangements, which incorporated some African rhythms, Mellotrons, and full orchestration. Never before or since did the Stones take so many chances in the studio. In 1968, the Stones would go back to the basics, and never wander down these paths again, making this all the more of a fascinating anomaly in the group's discography.Image

Derek, the rumors of the girl being Baker's daughter were disproved a long time ago. The girl's name is Mariora Goschen, who was 10-11 years old at the time. Bob Seideman, the photographer, actually asked her older sister Sula to pose, but it was Mariora who begged her parents to do it; she asked for a horse as payment but got some money instead.
