Theodore Roosevelt Taylor (Hound Dog) 8/10

Hound Dog was on old bluesman. He played Chicago style blues in the 50's and 60's and eventually dying in the mid 70'S.The guy was pretty darn good on the slide. He was part of the Houserockers and mostly played cheap guitars and amps with a gritty distorted sound.Gotta love him.I believe he also shot Son Seals in some sort of drunken argument....He liked his alcohol. He was nicknamed the name Hound Dog cause of his chasing women in the bars after a night of drinking. One could go on and on about Hound Dog.

8! Funky blues, funny guy, and good taste in Teles. (I'm actually opening for him at the Hound Dog Blues Festival in Tulsa this September too!)

Soulful blues, hate to use the equation, but a very SRV-esque tone, works some nice repeating riffs and plays with loads of feel from what I've seen of him online. Because he plays a Strat the way it was meant to be played I'm going with a solid 7.5.

Very underrated for his jazz playing and trumpet work :!: ...

...and his mid-80's blues excursions deserve every bit of praise they received...

Doyle Bramhall II......another 7 and if you think about that it's quite a compliment. All of my guitar hero's are dead and gone for a long time now. The ones that I liked that survived have all lost their teeth, lol. This boy sounds a lot like what I liked back then, keeping the craft alive for younger listeners who might not ever get to hear those old hero's.

Huge Smiths fan so maybe a little biased, but those melodies are oh so sweet.
