Experience is no better or worse than starting out. In fact, starting out is a heckuva lot more exciting.

What's interesting about EMI/Abbey Road is the history and the comical way EMI always ran the place. And the fact they continue to this day to develop their own hardware. Since I've been there last, they've unfortunately gone a bit generic, utilizing more and more off-the-shelf gear. And they finally cleaned off all the apple grot below the Studio #3 window where Lennon chucked apples at Martin and Emerick. They left it on for years and years. I guess it got to be a health hazard.

Anybody ever seen the Twilight Zone with Andy Devine called "Hocus Pocus and Frizbee"?

I think this forum starts out with hardware, but it evolves into how all of us players and musicians take that hardware into the real world and try to express ourselves with it effectively. And the only importance of individuals in here is not about cult of personality, but how any of us can share from their knowledge base. A guy like Bill M. helps all of us learn and burn.

Guys, if Maruuk wishes to remain anonymous that's totally his prerogative. Using a "real" name and/or revealing one's true identity is not required as part of participation here.

My pondering about Maruuk's secret identity was not literally intended to demand that he say who he is at all and I'm very glad I got a haha out of Maruuk about it. Personally, I get a lot out of Maruuk's contributions and interesting stories about Apple, BB King, Clapton and whatnot and I respect his privacy. I'm not saying who I am either, but you haven't heard of me, I never jammed with BB, and I saw Celine Dion in Vegas because my wife demanded it. You know, she can really sing live.

It's cool, there's a lot of us industry guys in here because this is a great site. And I bet Celine's guitarist in the pit had some Fender gear!

Well, I've assited Puala Abdul, Rob Zombie, and local LA News Woman Tracy Savage. I've partied with Emilio Estaves and Met the guy who played Rizzo on MASH. But that was as a Chairlift Operator for Snow Summit Ski Resort. :?

I also Cleaned Shirley Jones and Marty Ingles windows after they remodeled thier mountain home, But I was 14 and not a serious musician yet.

As a Guitar player I've.......crap. I should have stayed a Lift Operator. :x

I saw John Lennon twice in NYC. Once in 78 and again in early 80.

I also played backgamon with Dirk Blocker when I was 5. My Uncle was editing something he was working on. He must have let me win, since I still don't know how to play.
