Those were taken directly from that Michael Moore movie.

I can too, somebody will give him an attitude adjustment one of these days.

Why, Reb......are you implying that the lad is in need of some "wall-to-wall counseling"?

Arjay

Exactly, somebody needs to kick his rear end up between his shoulder blades....but he's probably better at keeping his mouth shut while in the actual presence of a person who would do it.

+1!

It's become fashionable of late for every needle-dicked maggot with a computer and a blogsite to bad-mouth the nation and the traditions that nurture and sustain it. Pay them no mind, Danny.

Without attacking anybody this unconditional love for your own country in some ways aggravates the problem with these terrorist groups, because it seems many people are somewhat blinded to the things certain western countries have done to aggravate these groups, and shot themselves in the foot by supporting them years ago for their own gain.

You can call it blind hatred towards christianity however there are many countries with a much much higher percentage of christian followers which have never felt the touch of islamic extremists.

You hear things such as "the country that pretty much single handedly created the free world" and you wonder why people in foreign lands get pissed off with the attitude of certain countries thinking they are better than everyone else...

You have the guts to set there behind your computer and call patriotism a form of blindness. In America we are taught at an early age to believe that, "ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL". That doesn't mean that Americas are better than every one else. Americas Loyalty to freedom loving people has been tested time and time again, and each time we have entered into a conflict it has been with that taught in mind. AMERICA is the greatest country in the world. There is a small line in a song that we all love that sais "LET FREEDOME REIGN" not A#2$@ that think there better than everyone else. :x

----Danny,

First off every single one of us is sat behind a keyboard here, don't get the wrong impression and think I wouldn't be comfortable speaking about this in real life.

Personally I think that believing that every conflict America has been involved in is only about freedom then that is incredibly short sighted to be honest

Also I don't believe that patriotism is a bad thing at all, however I think that a large part of Patriotism is being able to identify the points where your country has perhaps gone in the wrong direction, because to really want the best for your country you have to know where they went wrong at times.

I love the country I live in, however I refuse to stand by everything that they have done because I think it is important to oppose these things in order to at least contribute to them not happening again.

Apologies if I came across a bit strong, it's difficult to toe the line between criticism and attack at time and I'm not as eloquent with words as some. Don't get me wrong I've spent time living in the US and I certainly appreciate many values that the people there stand for, it is one of the most welcoming countries I have been in. However many people there can underestimate how much of a negative factor to other countries the belief that America is the best country in the world can be, and if you want the best for your country then it is very important that people start to understand that as it can really rub foreigners up the wrong way.

Anyway I've seen you post around and you seem like a nice guy and I know politics can split people apart, please know I'm only trying to discuss and I'd rather not fight with you, apologies for coming across a little harsh towards you!

Some times the circumstances call for it being said and a lot more. Nothing gripes me more than some arrogant so and so speaking out against the American Way. What they wont admit is that the word FREEDOM wouldn't be aloud in there language if it weren't for the Right and Wrong Fighting Spirit of the American people, and our willingness to spend billions and lay our lives on the line to protect all freedom loveing people. I apologize for my ranting but when someone attacks America I get mad. :x :x :x
