As far as guitars go...I can't think of anyone who probably deserves it more!

(I'm very thankful for my local luthier who installed jumbo frets on my '68 reissue..now it really plays like a dream!!)

So...to all you luthiers out there, and repairmen...

Thanks!

Whenever I move to a new town, one of the first things I look for is the nearest, reputable luthier. It's just a must have.

I know every time I've tried to do anything major to my guitar - I have screwed it up! God bless the Luthier! He has saved my guitar on more than one occasion.

Being a Guitar Tech by profeesion; I do all my own non-warranty work myself. I keep a list of authorized repair people for the various guitar/amp makers that I know to be trust worthy. In this manner I can take a client's guitar or amp for any needed authorized warranty repairs without voiding the warranty wherever we may be, local, or on tour.
It is unfortunate, but, there are alot of hacks out there that call themselves luthiers or repair people. The best way to find the talent is to ask the working pros in your area who they trust with their guitars/basses. Safe bet - it won't be the guy or girl at your local Guitar Center...

A good one is hard to find and when you do find one, the backlog is usually quite long. That's the main reason why I learned to do my own work.
