I have expanded my pedalboard recently so I am in need of some new cables. So what works bestout of the DIY cables? George l's any good?

I didn't like the George L cables; the contacts got corroded after a few months and the cables quit working.

I used a Planet Waves DIY patch cable set successfully about two years ago. And I like it immensely.

Ditto 63. I've got George L cables I've been using for 10 years that are sill perfect. Perhaps Screamin' lives in a corrosive environment.

But brand doesn't matter. You want cables with low capacitance, regardless of maker.

Just don't buy Monster.
