Grasshopper, Your 13 now so I guess I can tell you it's SOB. And yep, as a former theft victim I agree 1,000%. I lost a 1965 Fender Vibrolux Reverb. I can feel for your Dad's pain. I usually don't leave my Tom Tom in the car or at least always take it off the window.

Yeah man, That really hurt. It was a beautiful amp that I has for 20 years. Another reason why I hate the 80's. :?

No my dad had a FSR Silverface Vibrolux Reverb from 1964 and it sounds good for a Fender amp. i am thinking about buying my neighbour's 66 blackface Vibrolux Reverb shes selling it for $45 that is so cheap it works and everything its missing the Fender logo but the Vibrolux Reverb faceplate is there. all tube the vibrato works but i'd rather use my dads since it was his dad's amp he died in early 1980 and my dad was 20 at the time
hes now 40 something and if he dies i can have the amp and his 64 strat it came with the amp cuz he did not have a guitar yet. its 3 tone sunburst with custom maple neck pre cbs headstock everything

my condolences super kid, I know the pain, my best friend disappeared with my Tele and just about everything else that I had. I should say "former best friend" because I haven't seen him since and I don't know why I still think about it after 43 years. sorry, didn't mean to "it's about me" post. again my condolences.

The thing that really infuriates me about THEFT is that the stolen items usually go towards financing some junkies drug habit and sells for a fraction of its true value. not to mention the pain of the victim. I've had my house broken into several times and my car top slashed to gain access to my Stereo. When it happens I feel VIOLATED and helpless.  :x Back in the old days I was setting on a bar stool one night when in walked a young guy trying to sell a paper sack full of 8 track tapes. I gave him $7.00 for the whole lot. when I went back out to my car I discovered that I had purchased my own tapes. :(  Served me right.

FenderGuy1, not to be a tool or start an argument, Fender didn't have Silverface amps in 1964, they didn't exist. Silverface amps ran roughly form 1967-1981. I was around then and I remember it well. Look it up. The best thing to do is get the tranny codes and look up the date of manufacture.

Here's a little history.

They were still transitioning in 67

Here's a 66
