Who'd have thought it? I was in one of our large guitar stores and there were American Standards for sale at $999. First time I've seen them under $1000 in a few years. I asked a sales guy if they'd take $900 and he hum and hawed and came back and said $950. I said I was thinking of $900 and he said $925.

I was just fishing as I never buy new guitars (I can get a used Standard for about $650)

Similar with Gibsons. A guy had one for sale locally used for $700. He had paid almost $1400 for it a few years back and now it's going new for around $1100.

anyways...thank the rise in the Canadian dollar.
