I just got a t c electronics poly tune. It is a poly-chromatic tuner and can do all strings at once. It has a bunch of options, and can tune to a chord for playing slide, etc., and is well built. I got it at GC of all places as they had the best price on it. I love it and it has a permanent spot on my pedal board now!

Sorry about that, left out one of the most important pieces of any review...$99...and worth every penny.

I love my Boss TU2.

I have not yet tried the TU3, but I am concerned about how it will work with alternate tunings (of which I use several).

Ultimately, you'll have to try everything out and see what works best for you.

...welcome to the Forum, by the way!

Korg Pitchblack is the best stage tuner I've used. Easy to see on a dark stage, accurate, and easy to use.

I own several tuners, one on my Mustang head, a boss TU 2, and a planetwaves tuner ha clips to the headstock. I love the Boss and the Planet Waves tuners the best. The Boss TU 3 is awesome as well.

Yep, the TU-3 and the TC Polytune are the best contenders, it seems.

I have the TU-2. They come up for sale locally for $40 or so.

I can read it fine and it is accurate. I'm sure other brands equally do the job.

We we are talking about a 'tuner'. I don't need any more bells and whistles. This us one of those KISS pedals...keep it simple, stupid.

+ another one on the Boss TU2.
i also use it for a mute switch when switching guitars, and i like that i can re-tune in the middle of a song.
