Just learned that the daughter of an old HS friend was at work in the govt building when it was bombed. She survived suffering only minor lacerations. We have at least one Forum Mate in Norway. Wonder if we could find out his circumstances. :?: :?

I'm shocked. Good question Doc, hoping our Bro is OK.

My old friend lives south of Oslo, on the opposite coast from where island camp is situation. Our Bro is up north. But people came from all over to summer at the camp.
I note that he has not been on Forum for quite some time now. You might remember a quote from him on the occasion of Clapton playing his town, and he had a look at the Blackie Tribute guitar at the time, posting some photos.

Yes, terrible events in Norway. I think our forum member over there is Bluestube. Haven't heard from him for a while.

My heart goes out to those injured and the families of those who perished in the Norwegian terror attacks. It was so senseless and brutal. Domestic political terrorism is no less a crime than mass murder. At last count I heard, 91 dead in the town that is the home of the Nobel Peace Prize.

Ditto! Thanks for recollect. On second thought, I'm going to try to PM him through the Forum.

Terrible news of what happened there! :(
It's one of the last places on earth I'd expect to hear about something like this!

Just saw a pic of the suspect. You wouldn't think he was a madman.
Truly no place safe these days. Sad.

However this one has likely no connection to Al-Qaeda at all and it's a gross assumption by a lot of people to think that way.

It had nothing to do with Al Qaeda, in fact from what I've read he had anti-Muslim views... Motive is still unknown (again, from what I've read).
