I even use D'Addario electric strings on my acoustics-they sound a lot brighter than the phospher-bronze and silk wounds.

I mostly use Elixer Nanowebs on my acoustics. They sound fairly good and they last a really long time. They basically last until one breaks and then I change them as a set. Other strings sound dull after a short time of playing from all the finger crud they accumulate. However, if I was going into the studio today and wanted the best sounding strings I could think of I'd go in with 4 or 5 packages of Martin SP 92/8 Phosphor Bronze. I put 11s on my acoustics but if I used 12s I'd go with the SP Marquis Phosphor Bronze.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.
