I was a kid but I remember it well. Sitting in front of that big American made tube powered Zenith color television. I still have my tape recording of it. It was a time like no other.

Arjay, comical to me that you said that. At that tome My Dad was a retired USAF Senior Chief Master Sargent. He said the same thing. I'm sure you remember the type. I on the other hand believed. One of the fue things my Dad wasn't able to convince me of. Because of his influance on me I still wonder. Is it possible he was right? :? :)

There's ample anecdotal-though-inconclusive evidence that supports the theory that the entire event was a sham.

For me it doesn't matter......I haven't believed a single word coming out of Washington DC since 22 November 1963.

From anybody.

And I never will.

I have an Uncle who worked on several moon programs in the '60s,he said it happened...then I have a brother in law who doesn't believe it at all...me? I'm not 100% sure either....
but Arjay,I know what you mean, the night of 22,Nov.,1963,I was sitting listening to my grandfather, father and a couple of his brothers...they said there was no way the three shots were gotten off that fast and hit their intended moving target with a bolt action surplus rifle....I've never forgotten that night,my grandfather was a WWII combat vet from the Pacific,he knew what he was talking about.

Remember when Buzz Aldrin punched out that dude who claimed he never went to the moon, that was awesome.

Yeah and I remember when John Glenn slipped and fell in the bathtub and had to be put in an ambulance and taken to the hospital, way back when in the '60s I guess...we saw it on our B/W TV and my dad said "look there,he went up into space and orbited the earth and can't even stand up in the tub"....

I know all the arguments and I've seen the so called 'evidence' of fakery.

But I still don't doubt the reality of the moon landings. Forget alleged 'expert' interpretations of camera angles, lighting, impossible wind etc, and look at the overall picture. It was the middle of the cold war and the Russians were beaten to the punch in a furious race in which they had such a good head-start. If it had all been faked, they would have known and would have blown the whistle loud and clear. They would have yelled foul all over the eastern bloc to any sceptic that would listen. The Americans might have been able to fool TV viewers watching on equipment that was positively primitive by modern standards, but they could never have fooled a technologically advanced rival nation, with access to sophisticated tracking and telemetry monitoring equipment and whatever other doodas they would have had. And you could bet that they watched every second of the mission(s) in forensic detail.

The Russians had no conceivable vested interest in colluding with fakery, and they stayed silent. There's the proof for me. Capricorn One was a great film, but that's all it was..

God knows people have every reason to mistrust their Governments, and quite rightly too. But the need to think everything is a conspiracy says more about personal paranoia than anything else. Perhaps it's something about the mental scars of the Kennedy assassination that promotes wholesale mistrust - a more obvious conspiracy and cover-up you'd never find.

Did the Americans blow up the Twin Towers and The Pentagon? Of course they didn't.
Did Bobby Kennedy murder Marilyn Monroe? Of course he didn't.
Did a lone fanatic murder JFK? Of course he didn't.
Did the Americans land on the moon? Of course they did.

My brother in law is in charge of tour busses for a country star,he doesn't believe in the moon landings,he says he couldn't run his tour busses out to California and back on battery power now,in 2011,...he says in '69 he understands that most of the moon rocket/landing modules and comms ran on battery power after they were in orbit, how could they do it then?
I need to get my Uncle's answer on this since he worked on one of the lunar landing modules at NASA ..it's a good question though.

For some of you naysayers.... Didn't you watch that Mythbusters TV show episode a few years ago? They really went into detail and duplicated the conditions (vaccuum chamber, devoid of any air and/or pressure, etc...). The guys on Mythbusters tried and tried to debunk it or "bust it" as they say to prove the 1969 lunar landing as a hoax.

Mythbusters TV show proved it as true.

Buzz Aldrin's famous upper cut punch proved it as well. 8)

It happend. Accept it.

Here's my thing. With the extreme advances in ALL kinds of technology since the 60's, nobody will ever be able to convince me that anyone has EVER been on the moon. If we could do it then, it would be easy today, and there have been failed attempts since. I don't buy it, never have never will.

The mythbusters are the last people who's opinion will sway mine. Sure the guys are smart, but I won't care what they say about it until they shoot an episode from the moon.
