Nice little bit of insight. I kind of expected a neater pedal board. I guess don't fix what ain't broke applies there.

I was close enough to the stage last March to watch him use it. It appeared to me that most of the stuff was preset because he seemed to go to only two of the foot operated units during the show. Keep your eye on that pickup toggle switch which always seems to be set to the bridge.

I can't think of the last time (if ever) I've noticed Joe using the neck pickup. Everything I've seen has been straight up bridge pickup. You would think for a guy who talks so much about nuance and dynamics when it comes to playing guitar would flip over to the neck pickup every once in a while.

I expect that, for the LP's at least, that's where he finds his sweet spot. He's does have a clutch of guitars that he performs live with. I've not paid much attention to those. Time to go back and review Albert Hall.
