Hi, guys!

I recently bought a Korg AX3000G, which is great but I am somewhat puzzled by something.
There is a switch under the expression pedal that switches the pedal on or off. However, no matter how hard I press the pedal, the rubber thing that is supposed to activate the switch doesn't actually reach it!!! This is because there are square rubber pads on both sides of the pedal that stop it going down far enough into the recess in which the switch is located.
I don't think I'm supposed to take them off; the manual doesn't help.
Has anybody else experienced this?
Thanks,
Gilles
