Thanks you all guys for your advices. I'm living in Sherbrooke, Qc, Canada. There's a couple of good luthiers right here. One is a friend of mine (the old man is 84 years-old... and I'm 23!) and he's a Martin guitars addict! I'm sure he will do it with a lot of pleasure.

I called at Martin & Co. today and they told me that the guitar has not to be repaired by the company itself. BUT, the specs of the bridge has to be the same.

The guy at Martin & Co. has a lot to say about this guitar and told me to buy a hardshell case as soon as possible (cuz I don't have one!) and to not play it until it was repaired.

I'll post pics as soon as the job is done!

Good, great that you have someone nearby.
Cherish that guitar, once returned to playing condition, I suspect it will surprise you.

I passed up a 56 Martin a couple years ago. It was a classical guitar, Martin built a few way back when that were excellent. This one was truly a gem. I regret that every so often.

Cool, you or your friend can probably get the proper bridge and ivory saddle direct from them since they currently reproduce a 1937 000-18 in their "Golden Era" line.

Good Luck.
