I started out yesterday with just that in mind, after getting to the store and playing through several Fender amps I kept comeing back to The Fender Reishue 65 Delux Reverb, All American Tube Amp. Play them all and you'l see what I mean. I bot the 65
Delux Reverb. 8) 8) :)

It depends on the drummer. 15 Watts is iffy at best. I'd go with the DRRI.

Like Supro said it depends on the dynamics of the drummer. I have used mine is several small venues miked thru a PA and unmiked. If the stage volume gets louder and louder you're going to lose with the Blues Jr. You might want to look at something in the 30 to 50 watt range.

I believe the Crush series are solidstate amps. You would be going backwards with solidstate. 35 watts solidstate is not the same as 35 watts of tube power. You might try out the Peavy classsic 30. It is a dependable decently made 30 watt tube amp. You might also look at the Traynor line since you're in Canada. I've played thru a YB40? or something like that and was quite impressed with its sound. Both of those amps were in the 400 to 500 US dollar range last time I looked.

If your drummer is not too agressive you may just pull it off as when I started gigging at 15 years old the best we could do was 15W amps.If your drummer is a Keith Moon wannabe-forget it.

Not a problem the other guitarist in our jam uses one and it's more than enough to go over drums.... Does not even have to be flat out.... Perfect in fact he's right in the sweet spot...

Blues JR should be plenty of amp for ya - I have 2 of them, the regular one, and I bought one of the relic'ed ones, which kicks a** by the way - if your drummer is over powering a Blues JR, tell him to quit playin so damn hard!! lol - The DRRI is a killer amp as well, I have one of those, and an actual '65 DR as well - Love my Fender amps!!

I've used a blues Jr. at a few local blues jams with no problem. Great amp for the money. :)

I'd go with a used Peavey Classic 30 hands down. They can be had all day for $300-350 and are great amps.
