In the three Fender Bass Forums there is a group of people who seem to thrive on derailing threads. They can change the topic faster than Bootsy Collins busts a G-String. This year the derailing seemed to get better organized with some relentless tag teaming. The core Fender Forum Fanatics that derail the threads then cranked up their own Facebook group known as N.C.I.P. International where plots are often hatched to keep the Fender Forum, well for lack of a better term, "interesting."

Listed here are the 2010/2011 nominees for the First Annual TOOTLE Award.

Voting for The Tootle will begin shortly after the close of each fiscal year Voting will continue until August 31st that year. One vote per person.

Why call it the "TOOTLE" award? Tootle is a children's storybook about a train that knew to say on the tracks but couldn't help chasing butterflies and going to play in the meadow far off the tracks. It is in the top 5 selling children's books of all time. Seemed like an appropriate name for the award for getting off track the most.

Congratulations to all the nominees. It is truly an honor just to be nominated.

WOW  I dont know what to say,I am on a list with some heavy duty players and me being somewhat new to the forums and a member of the N.I.C.P. I will say this:I am truly flattered to be amongst such royalty. 8)
I will not be voting for myself that goes against everything the N.I.C.P. stands for,NO actually it's not,I should be voting for myself is the N.I.C.P. way of doing biz
SO THANKS TO ALL MY VICTIMS OF DE-RAILMENTS;ALL MY FRIENDS(and enemies)HERE ON THE FENDER FORUMS.
And if you good and ONLY if your good and say all your prayers I may de-rail your topic too someday,Its not a threat but a promise I intend to keep if I am to qualify again next years title. YES,Your correct I think I DO have to much time on my hands that should be used for practicing.
THANKS DAVE AND ALL THE FELLAS HERE FRIEND OR FOE

He's up there with Spaghetti in creative derailing when he chooses to be.

There's always next year! Bob has slacked off lately. Consistency is key.

Now, now, now, let's play nice. Did you think I wouldn't be watching? Tsk, tsk, tsk. Such things you're saying about me. It's against the rules to vote for oneself, I'm sure the ones who have the most to say about IT are the one who did what they're bellyaching about, BEEP, BEEP!

Uncle Bob not being here was just wrong, O.K., don't believe me, ask Puppywise!

All joking aside I WORKED ON THE RAILROAD FOR 9 YRS! never de-railed a train but I crashed a highrail(has same componets as trains do to ride the tracks)cherrypicker(it picks up railroad ties from the outside tracks and puts them where the workers can access them)and it hit the back of a locomotive and the Cherrypicker derailed off the tracks and we had to call a crane to put it back on.
It dont sound bad but when your dads the biggest boss in the state and he has to call in the crane order then its no longer funny  ,IT IS NOW!!!

I really dont want to say,my father has a few more years to re-tire after 40 yrs service and I embaressed him enuff already with my asinine behavior and this is one of the few places I ever disclosed this before,I am not paranoid but stranger things have happened and alot of people on F/B know us/him/me and its bad enuff already we are'nt speaking so this would really lite the fire.
Sorry

It is/ was never my intention to derail a thread. It just happened naturally. I guess one of my character flaws ( I hope it's only one) is not being able to suffer the fools very well. I admit that sometimes I think something is stupid without realizing that at one time I could have been stupid or that it's not really stupid even though it may be stupid to me. What makes me so smart to think something is stupid? I don't know. But that's what I'm saying. I really don't think something is stupid. It just happens. And so as things go this derailing thing comes into play unknowingly and "BOOM" off the tracks she goes and where she stops nobody knows.
It's like this: A guy says " I broke a string". I don't think that's stupid but I just go ahead and say: " I had spaghetti once". See? It's not a derailment. It's a reply to a normal thing . Now if that happens to derail a thread then it's just out of my hands. I can't fix stupid.
