Been a longtime hope all is good with you Mike. My first time back on the board in over a year and leave it to you to post something awesome. I can remember playing the hell out of my brothers copy of Super Session, I am looking forward to watching every chapter of one of the true greats to who IMHO does not get the accolades and respect he should.

Ah, great to hear from you again! Yep, I've worn out my copy of Butterfield's East-West trying to cop some of Bloomy's phrasings.

Remember Electric Flag ?

Sure. I believe the bass player was Harvey Brooks. I think he came from the Dylan sessions. :D

Yes, and Buddy Miles was the drummer in that band :

wish I could have seen him play. I have a CD with him playin' live at a club. The OLD WALDORF, San Francisco, Dec. 1976 - May 1977. These performances were recorded over a six month period.

Here's Bloonfield with Muddy Waters, Johnny Winter, Willie Dixon, Koko Taylor, Dr. John, Junior Wells, Buddy Miles..... It look like the whole video too. I have it on VHS and it's always on loan LOL.

It streams here. The Muddy Waters Blues Summit in Chicago. Enjoy! If you can find a copy you'll probably watch it a million times. LOL

No problem. It's a great video. All hose guys were great. It was cool to see Dr. John give a Mojo to Muddy. All these guys played well. I thought Mike was a little over the top while Johnny was more reserved. Muddy use to call Johnny his son.
