the list goes on. you just gotta know where to look. underground alternative rock is stronger than ever cause you can just record, upload to some sight and there. there are a bunch of local bands in australia that i really like.

Speaking of which, I can't get 90% of either of their music because they haven't released it in the US... fail :?

My personal fav is Grizzly Bear. They play rock like none other band does. Very Unique band.
Little Psychedelic.
Song: http://youtu.be/Puph1hejMQE

Other great bands 'new' rock bands.
Queens of the Stone Age. Well, I guess everybody knows this band. I love them!

El Guapo Stuntteam. If there's a band that knows how to rock. This is THE band! Too bad they broke up two years ago.
Really listen to this song. Pure brilliancy! If you just want to skip through the song, just listen the solo part. Amazing!

DeWolff. 60/70 inspired rock band from the Netherlands. Funny thing is that all the guys from the band are only 16/18 years old. They getting really big/populair over here in the Netherlands. Sometimes they do remind me of The Doors.
Song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B2HlDnJuyDs

The Van Jets. Garage rock from Belgium. ALso a GREAT live band!
Song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0VHHXHC8Rc

And there are way more bands I love and if I start talking I just get a little too enthusiastic and want to go on and one. So if somebody likes these bands and didn't knew them before.. I got plenty more great bands like this I can recommend :p
