Although I'm not a fan of the genre there's no denying that Wurzel et al spawned a legion of metal bands that followed in Motorhead's footsteps by emulating them -R.I.P. Wurzel.BTW there was a British/Irish band in the late 60s called The Wurzels-no connection that I'm aware of-who had a cult hit nonsense song called Blackbird.

Unless Wurzel was part of the landed gentry ( I got a brand new combine harvester) or a cider drinker ( I am a cider drinker) guitslinger I doubt any connection, this prolly ain't making any sense at all is it, I think one of them is Ceri's other national anthem just to add to the confusion anyhoo
RIP Wurzel another gone to the great gig in the sky

Wurzel was a Fender endorsing artist and a seminal guitarist. He was the 2nd official endorsee of the Fender Master Series guitars and is pictured with his black Flame Ultra on his solo album cover.
He was a great friend of Fender and part of the family of UK Fender artists assembled by Fender's UK Director of A&R John Hill that included Davey Murray, Steve Harris, David Gilmour, Eric Clapton, Steve Howe, Steve Hackett, Pete Townsend, Jerry Donahue, Richard Thompson, Alan Murphy, Danny McIntosh, Andy Summers, Gordon Sumner, Stewart Adamson, Bruce Watson, Bob Sawyer et al and Fender should run a story on Wurzel at least.

Welcome to the Forum Strat UK. Thanks for posting, I didn't know about the Wurzel Burston Fender connection.
