Nikininja's post "So"...... is an example of how some of us have had the good fortune to come to know each other personally, if only briefly. You are looking a photo of four of the pillars of this Forum's community. I have had the pleasure of meeting two of them. The guy on the left, at least once a year, because we find ourselves in the same place at the same time. When one has done so, one develops a fuller appreciation of what makes up this grand association. I urged those of you who find yourselves in geographic proximities to make an effort to get to know each other personally. You won't regret it.

ZZ Doc, could not agree more. I have made one very good friend here, and while we don't live near each other, we do stay in contact via e-mail, share jokes, war stories from our AF days, and the general what's going on in our daily lives, and even some Fender Stuff not discussed here on the forum until one of goes, we should put that out on the forum!

Someday we will manage to get together and tip a few and get that JAM in, until then this forum and e-mail will have to suffice. So if you who find yourselves in geographic proximities to one another I too would urge you to get together and enjoy another Fender fans company.

I agree. If there are any Forumites in the Houston, Texas area it would be interesting to get together. Heck, in the general Texas area. This is a huge state, but there has to be somewhere centrally located where the the Fender Forum users of Texas could meet and greet. Maybe even jam if we were lucky.

so true! i hope to meet up with a few of the south eastern folks from the board when i get back home. I am really trying to make the leap from bedroom wannabe player to someone that gets out there and jams with as many people as i can. I will never get any better sitting all by myself doing scales. I know Way Cool is near enough that a long weekend is not out of the question and i am pretty sure there are some more Sunshine State fender fans on the boards.

Bit hard when most of you are over the pond for me!! Never the less!!! It's a cyber age!!!! I can still amke friends here!!!

Where I'm marooned on an island in the North Atlantic I am probably the most geographically isolated of all forum members,as far as I know Blinkers and I are the only forumites from NL.I almost met up with Serge last year in Florida but I came down with a virus and Serge had something unexpected come up.I'd love to be situated where I coud seek out and meet other forumites and jam or just talk guitars.

i'm pretty isolated from the rest of you active posters. actually i'd consider myself more isolated than guitslinger i reckon. plus even if i wasn't my parents would flip if i told them i was going to meet someone on a forum. they dont understand how well monitored this forum is.

No no, it was the other way around. AndyBigHair's missus warned him about grooming when he and I and Nutter were getting together in Brighton. She obviously felt there was a risk that though I claim to be a 46 year old lousy guitar player I might really be a 14 year old girl trying to get Andy into trouble. And of course, Mrs BigHair is absolutely right that we should always be cautious on the internet...
