I question the eyesight and standards of anyone who would call Rickenbacker instruments "cheap-looking". New Ricks (not "Rickys", there's a picture of the only real Ricky below...)

are better in quality by far than anything made in the 1960s, though it may be the '60s Ricks that get our hearts thumping with the nostalgia beat of our youth.

Build quality of modern Ricks is second to none, especially considering their price range vis-a-vis other American-made set neck guitars and basses.

Our local Long and McQuade had a 360/12 for $2,700 but it didn't have toaster pups but the new style with what appears to be adjustable pole pieces and I've read in several forums that soundwise they couldn't hold a candle to the toaster pups.Pic of the Rics in new Jersey would be my first choice for choosing a Rick, they have a huge inventory of 80s and 90s Ricks at very reasonable prices,a lot of the with toaster pups too.

Tomorrow I'm taking my first step to getting a Rick,I'm going to the doctor and getting a script for Champix. It helped me quit smoking once before but I went back on the dirty things in a moment of weakness about 10 months after. If I have nice gear for incentive maybe I can feed my GAS pains every 3 or 4 months and quit for good after all I spend about $275 a month in cigarettes

I like plans. That's how things get done. This sounds like a good one. Good luck.
