Still in the queue. yeah, though I unfortunately can't promise an ETA as the project is dependent on *another* project that is in progress and which lies outside my own group. I could tell you more, but then I'd have to kill ya. :-)

I think it'll be more like filling in a form "choose your favourite style of music".....and after you choose that all the unsuitable guitars from the model range will be removed....and so on until you've got it narrowed down to just a few models.

i think it will be an interesting concept, but i highly doubt you will be able to order the guitar like that, it will more just be to help visualize colors on guitars and such

I think this would be a cool feature as well, but I think it would most likely be limited to options available on a particular model ... but who knows, it may be full blown. Ya'll just have to wait and see

I see 2 discussions happening here at once: one is centered around the initial question posed in the thread (i.e., "give me a useful and fun tool to help me better sift through Fender's current product offering and find the products best suited to my needs and wants"), and another is "give me a useful and fun tool to let me spec out my dream instrument". Both tools have merit but I do want to be sure to draw the distinction. My comments above are about the former topic and not the latter, although the latter has certainly been discussed at length as well.

I suppose in that case a bass chooser might not be as exciting. The correct answer to what bass would be best is always..."The Fender Bass".

Plus it would just lead to an all out brawl between the P and J guys.

Perhaps, a guitar/bass customizer might be an interesting project for an addition to the CS website. Perhaps with different model and option levels. (custom team, ect.) Perhaps some general pricing info aswell. Giving us a chance to dream, and a little more info on the entire process, other then the obligatory, "talk to your CS dealer". Which is rarely ever easy, or overly helpful unless you have cash in your hand. I'm sure that would be more a labor of love, and a huge undertaking...it would be fun though.
:D
