I've been playing Dark Side Of The Moon for some time now, and I thought that it might be interesting if we had an online collaboration where everybody puts in a solo and then we display somewhere for all to see. Just so we could all examine each other's genius close up.

I've laid down a backing track, and really, there's no limit as to how many solos we can add. 36 bars each sound fair?

http://www.4shared.com/audio/i1Yo12uJ/Breathe_part.html. Here's the loop. Feel free to download it, add a solo to it, add backing vocals or whatever. Or even phase out the crappy sythesized organ part if it pleases you. I don't really care, as long as it sounds good. Once you're finished, pm the loop with the solo to me, and I'll master it into something collective and pleasing. I'll post it up here when I'm done.

Have fun soloing!

First, honestly I really didn't care for the recording, and it really didn't sound like PF's version, but I always like a challenge, and went ahead and recorded a solo track.

I know you wanted solos uploaded via PM, but I took your backing track and tweaked the EQ. I than recorded my solo track and 'mastered' the track using my BOSS BR800's MTK (Mastering Tool Kit).

Thanks for sharing:

Here's a PF style BT where I recorded a solo. I forget who sent it to me

No worries. I don't care much for it either, so you're not the only one. I was just messing about with that backing track, something I could loop and practice my Gilmourish solos. Thanks with the mastering, it sounds much better now. Mabye adding some reggae organ loops was a bad idea...

I'll add my solo as soon as I get back to my amp. I had to record the rythm guitar part with an electric guitar without an amplifier.
