Last night I Played "The Star Spangled Banner" out my music room window just at dark. The neighbors were starting there fireworks. I think it went over OK, at least they dident start aiming bottle rockets at my house.  8)

I've listened to and watched the Woodstock version of The Star Spangled Banner I guess hundreds of times and tried to disect and pick apart every part of it.I could at one time do a pretty passable version of it with the controlled feedback and whammy work but haven't attempted it since the old mitts gave out. That is one of my all time favourite songs and dispite listening to it all these times I still get goosebumps when I hear it.
I'll never forget the time Jimi was on the Dick Cavett Show and Cavett mentioned the hatemail he'd get by airing Jimi's "unorthodox"(Cavett's Word)rendition of it.Jimi just answered "Unorthodox?....I thought it was Beautiful." to which there was thunderous applause.

Only Thunderous, That one Song will Live on forever. I don't play it perfectly, but I do pretty well. I think Jimmy would Like the fact that we still "LOVE IT". I play it on New Years Eve to. Here's Good MOJO on Your Hands getting better soon. I sometimes get cramps in my hands so bad I cant pick up a glass of water. My fingers curl up and feel like my hand is taring apart. After that happens it takes about a week to get to the point that I can play My guitar. Hang in there. :)
