I just ordered a Mustang II amp and a Squier CV 50s Strat today. Got a great deal from MF, who beat all other coupon / in store deals. Read many posts here and the FUSE forum that helped with decision. So thanks for your help. :D

I am getting back into electric after a few years away to focus on acoustic bluegrass, fiddle tunes, and weekly bluegrass jams. I miss playing the blues, and I want to improve my skills. I'd like to learn some classic rock as well. I had sold off a lot of equipment (Blues Junior, several Guitars, original GDEC, Vox Amp, etc, etc.). Man those Mustangs were enough to get me out of hibernation!

I look forward to being a part of this community.

Wise choice and good move Blueser-welcome to the forum and I look forward to your input.BTW nothing at all wrong with Bluegrass,I love Bill Monroe et al and Marty Stuart and the Fabulous Superlatives are doing a great job of bringing Bluegrass to the masses.

Guitslinger: Thanks for the nice welcome and for letting me know it was "okay" to like bluegrass. :D If you've ever been to a BG jam, you'd know it's not unlike a blues jam, in that people all know a certain tune and then take turns taking breaks/solos.

Ceallach: Not sure what your point is. :)

No problem Blueser,I listen to music of just about every genre except rap and hip hop-I just love virtuosity no matter what the instrument or genre.BTW I kinda missed Ceallach's point too.Never been to a bluegrass jam, they have one in a town about 1 1/2 hrs drive from me during the summer months every Saturday.Ive been meaning to go check it out as a listener as my bluegrass flatpickin' is non-existent.

No point, just making a joke. I was watching south park earlier.

Welcome to the Forum...those CV Strats are really cool--especially for the money! However, we have a rule: You have to show pics of your new gear or it doesn't exist... If you can't figure out how to post a pic, use the search function to find "Nutter's Guide to Posting Pics"

Please excuse Celleach--we have to put a cork on the end of his fork at mealtime...(Dirty Rotten Scoundrels reference) :P

Pics or the gear does not exist. Those are the unwritten rules of the forum
