Ok so everyone gets to show off their new shiny toys, and today it's my turn! After weeks of being poor and borrowing my little brothers Squier Tele I've got together for a brand new shiny Squier Affinity strat and Frontman 15g :D So it's not up in the high end of guitar stardom but it looks pretty in metallic blue to me!

Also I have to say, for a cheap amp and guitar I am amazed at how well it plays and sounds, like, its really good! Plus I can see myself opening this guitar up and some point and switching a few things up, I've only had it an hour and I already want to tinker with it

Anyway.....

Welcome to the American dream... buy small, prepare to spend a LOT more on the more expensive ones if you get hooked on it..!

Lovely colour. :)

Congrats on the new axe. That's a beautiful color!

Also, don't ever apologize for it being an inexpensive model--it's a good, well made guitar that you bought with your own money...and that's something to be proud of. If anyone insults it, it's because of some deficientcy in their personality, not your instrument.

Treat her like the lady she is...enjoy her and don't worry about the name on the headstock.

I can believe it.

The only thing I regret now about buying this is that I didn't try a squier in my early teens when I was playing bass!

I also like that at this price I'm not afraid to mess around and tinker with it to get it to just how I like it, not as something I would be terrified to drop

If I thrashed a lady like I enjoy thrashing out the power chords then I could find myself in a court room

SnowJoe:

Looks Fantastic! Don't dwell on it being inexpensive. I have a Les Paul and a Stratocaster that don't get anywhere near the play that my little old Dean EVO does. The Dean may be the one I spent the least on, but it is the one I enjoy playing the most. :D

Ha cheers for the love guys.

I can tell you all after playing it for the last 4 hours solid I love it more and more, it could say crapstick on the headstock for all I care! Genuinely pleasantly surprised at how nice it sounds, and also how good the frontman amp sounds for the money!

Especially with a touch of gain through the bridge pickup gives for a delicious John Fruciante style strat quick. Yum!

My only disappointment is that I have to work this evening, but I'm sure when I get home at midnight the headphones will be plugged in and I'm playing through the night! :)

Also apologies for the lack of photos of beer or cats, I'll make that up when I no doubt open this thing up in a few months for some good old fashioned tinkering

That is just as cool as an expensive rig. Yours will come, sooner than you think. Play it and you'll love it more every day. 8) :)

No need to apologize for keeping it under the Fender family no matter what the price. These Squier guitars are being bought by people who can afford guitars priced a lot higher because of the incredible value of them.It would be a hard job to find a guitar of Squier quality in it's price range and the Frontman is a dandy little amp too.My nephew used a Frontman for gigging for several years as he loved the sound he got from it. Congrats on getting a great guitar rig-nice colour too.

Have a friend who has more vintage and boutique stuff than he can keep in two big rooms. Went to one of his gigs June 17, and he was rockin' a Squier CV Custom Tele. Looked and sounded extraordinary.

I only got one requirement for equipment, it's gotta inspire me to play. Doesn't matter what it costs, or what impression it leaves on others.

These babies are yours man, be proud, give 'em all you got and they'll return it with interest.
