Tried them. Those strings give you red hot growling bass tone.

I had the orange ones on my guitar. My guitar has flames so it looked just incredibly awesome. After a little while the orange started to wear off on the high E, B, G strings. They do last longer than regular strings though and give out a great tone.
You asked what's different about them......well nothing. They play like regular strings. You don't notice the coating and like I said they give off great tone. If it wasn't from the price I would always have them on.

Hope that helps! :D

They wouldn't be for me unless I had a Glow-In-The-Dark guitar, anyway the lightest gauge they have is 9-42 and I only use 8-38.It might be alright for someone who had one of the rare Lightshow Rickenbackers from the 60s,they can still be had for around $12,000-$14,000.

Hey Ceallach...we all get it, you don't like em, give it a rest! There is enough negativity on the forum as it is.

I wouldn't use them either, not my cup of tea, but they are making them, selling them, so someone is buying.
