Hello there!
If you notice in my signature my gear, you see that I have a very small amp. I think 10 Watts at most. I currently have $120 saved up for some sort of gear. At first it was a Stratacoustic. Then it was a HH Blacktop Tele. Now I have made my final choice. I am going to buy a Mustang II amp. I think it's what I need most at the moment.

Here's the reason I chose the Mustang II as my amp of choice. There's actually a good story behind it.
So about a week ago, my baseball team had a team get together at one of our outfielders houses. We were all playing kickball then went inside for a while to play some CoD. While inside, I noticed an acoustic guitar. I wondered who's it was since the kid doesn't play guitar. After I asked he said it was his because he was trying to learn. Then he asked me if I wanted to see the $10,000 guitar his dad won. I was like, "Do I ever!!" Well he went up and asked his dad then came back downstairs to continue our game of zombies.
Eventually his dad came down and asked if I wanted to play so of course I say yes! He brings it down and I'm expecting some like CS Strat with all the features. Imagine how disappointed I was when he brings it down, hooks it all up and stuff and while I'm checking it out I see it's Mexican. Don't get me wrong, it was a beautiful guitar from '09 but I was expecting more. Anyway, I was more intrigued by the amp. It was a nice Mustang I. After playing around with it for about an hour I discovered how much louder it could get than mine, how much better the distort was, and how much u could change the tone of your guitar.

So when I went to my local guitar shop for lessons, I asked about the Mustangs. The lady said she would save up more for the Mustang II then then the I because it's way better. I live in a townhome so 40 Watts is plenty. Then she said the tab book company Hal Leonard is making something that will dial in the tone for you!! So say you were looking for just the right Detroit Rock City tone, it could dial it in for you if you bought that card! Well, the Fender Fuse software is cool too. I'm not sure how much i would use that though. I like the amp by itself and I think I'm pretty much sold.

Does anybody have anything to say about the Mustang II?

BTW, I didn't have the heart to tell him he had about a $1000 rig

I have a Mustang I, and trade up to a Mustang II. I really enjoy playing thru my Mustang.

My honey brought it for me after hearing me talk about it to my son. I really needed a small practice amp, mainly to play along with concert videos, but I found the Mustang to be more than just a practice amp, it records well too.

The Mustang doesn't have slot for a card, she must have been thinking about the G-DEC series. But you can download amp presets that others have created to the Mustang using the FUSE software via USB. I've uploaded a couple of presets myself.
